Many of the off-the-shelf fibre-optic components available in the industry today fail to meet the standards of performance, robustness and longevity needed in industrial applications. This is why we've designed, developed and introduced a wide range of proprietary components, all of which interface with industry standards, while offering much enhanced features.
In some applications, the optical budget can be so critical that standard device performance tolerances are not suitable. For this reason, we offer a device optimisation facility for all of our housed transmitter and receiver devices; this means that during the manufacturing process each device can be honed to ensure that the optical characteristics fall within a customer-specific performance window.
In addition to our standard range of devices, we continue to supply many connector systems that are now becoming hard to find. We can also manufacture replacement components for old and obsolete systems which require maintenance. OMC works with both multimode glass and polymer fibre, having pioneered the use of polymer fibre throughout Europe, and we offer a wide range of polymer and glass fibre connectors.
