Email Problem Resolved

Following recent storms there have been severe problems with broadband services in our area. This resulted in OMC being unable to receive e-mails at the usual @omc-uk.com addresses. This problem has now been resolved and emails sent after the 31st Jan will be received as normal.

NEW SURFACE MOUNT LED FOR BACKLIGHTS

OMC release a new SMD LED optimised for backlighting applications. Available in all colours including White and Blue.

A new range of backlight panels has also been developed for use specifically with this LED. Contact OMC Sales for more information.

Are you currently using one of our standard pinned LED edge lit backlights? Ask about changing to a surface mount option.

WHITE BACKLIGHTS

OMC offer a new range of White LED Backlights. Using a combination of our latest diffuser, reflector and lightguide technologies to produce a bright even panel of white light. The panels use single edge illumination keeping current consumption to a minimum. These backlights can not only be used behind an LCD but also for other applications such as a light source used to back illuminate a colour transparency. Contact our sales team for more details of this exciting new range.

A Revolution in LED Performance now available at the same cost as conventional "high efficiency" LED’s. Up to 10 times the brightness or down to 1/10th of the drive current from the same device.

Superior uniformity and better reliability than AlGaAs ultra bright devices.
Standard colours available, plus ultra bright white and ultra bright blue.

These are genuine next generation LED products which incorporate micron plus™ LED semiconductors that start to give a useable light output at around ½mA drive current and the same light output at around 2-5mA as conventional high efficiency types give at 20mA!
